MotoFluent

Text message terms

Last updated October 21, 2026

Motorcycle and dirt bike service shops use MotoFluent to run their work and keep their customers up to date. When you agree to it, the shop working on your machine texts you about that work through MotoFluent's shop service texts. These terms explain what you get, how you agree, and how to stop.

What you'll get

Texts about your machine's service from the shop you agreed to, each starting with “MotoFluent for” and the shop's name:

  • status updates, such as work starting, waiting on parts, or ready for pickup
  • an estimate ready for you to approve or decline, and one reminder if it waits
  • the results of an inspection
  • messages from the shop's staff, and their replies to yours
  • an invite to see your machine's records in the MotoFluent app

Most texts carry a link to your service page at the shop's MotoFluent address. We never send marketing or promotional texts.

How you agree

You agree in writing, at the shop, on its paper sign-in form. The form has a box that isn't ticked, “Yes, text me updates about my bike.”, with these terms printed above it, and lines for your name, mobile number, the date and your signature:

Service texts from this shop, sent by MotoFluent: status updates, estimates, inspection results and messages about your visit. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Agreeing is optional and not required for service. Terms: motofluent.com/terms. Privacy: motofluent.com/privacy

You opt in by ticking the box, writing your mobile number and signing. Staff then turn texts on for that number in MotoFluent; they never do it without your signed form. The same terms are posted at the counter. The form and counter sign, as shops print them (PDF).

Right after texts are turned on, you get one text with the same details:

MotoFluent: You're subscribed to service texts from your bike shop. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Terms: motofluent.com/terms

The shop keeps your signed form for at least 4 years, and MotoFluent keeps a record of your agreement with the time, the shop, the phone number and the words you agreed to. Agreeing isn't required for the shop to work on your machine. To start texts later, sign the box on a new form. If you replied STOP, reply START to get texts again.

How often

Message frequency varies with your service: usually a few texts while your machine is in the shop, and none when it isn't.

Cost

MotoFluent and the shop don't charge for texts. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

Stopping texts

  • Reply STOP to any text; each one ends with "Reply STOP to opt out." You'll get one text confirming it, and no more texts from any shop on MotoFluent to that number.
  • Reply START to get them again. You'll get one text confirming it.
  • Or ask the shop to turn texts off. Their emails and your service page carry on.

Help

Reply HELP to any text, contact the shop, or email support@motofluent.com.

Carriers

Texts go to customers of major US mobile carriers. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
