MotoFluent

Privacy policy

Last updated October 22, 2026

MotoFluent is software for motorcycle and dirt bike service shops and the riders they work for. Shops use it to run their work and keep their customers' machine records; riders use it to see those records and keep their own. This policy explains what we keep about you, why, and who sees it. Questions: support@motofluent.com.

What we keep

  • Your account: your name, email address and, if you give one, your phone number.
  • What a shop records about you as its customer: your name and contact details, your machines, their service and measurement history, estimates, invoices and payments, photos, and messages between you and the shop.
  • What you record as a rider: your machines, maintenance, suspension settings, and your journal. Journal entries can include body data, such as weight, if you choose to enter it; they're yours alone.
  • Your consent to texts: the shop, the phone number, when and how you agreed, and the exact words you agreed to; and when you stopped. The shop keeps the paper form you signed.
  • Technical details: sign-in sessions, the internet address and device when you answer an estimate by link (as a record of your answer), sign-in attempts (to stop abuse), and the phone you use the app on (to send it notifications). When something breaks we keep an error report with names, email addresses and phone numbers removed.

We keep a log of each message we send (who, when, whether it arrived), not what it said. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies; the cookies we set keep you signed in and remember display settings on your device.

How we use it

  • To run the service for the shops and riders who use it.
  • To send messages you asked for or that are about your service: sign-in codes, service updates, estimates, invoices, inspection results, maintenance reminders, and messages from your shop.
  • To keep the service secure and fix what goes wrong.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Text messages

A shop texts you only if you agreed to its texts, as the text message terms describe. Reply STOP to any text to stop them.

We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, or text message opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They are shared only with the provider that delivers the texts, to deliver them.

Who sees it

  • The shop you deal with sees what it records about you and your machines.
  • Other shops: a machine's technical record (measurements, setups, maintenance) is shared with the shops its owner links it to. A shop's prices, invoices, labor, notes and customer records stay with that shop.
  • You, as the owner of a machine, see what shops have recorded on it.
  • Someone you send a history report: whoever owns a machine (you, or a dealer selling a bike it owns) can make a link to its technical record (measurements, setups, service and parts fitted, each marked as recorded by the shop named or reported by an owner). Anyone with the link can read it until it expires after 90 days, is stopped, or the machine changes hands. It never shows prices, costs, notes, the names of a shop's staff, or an owner's journal.
  • A machine's next owner: when a machine is sold, its technical record goes with it, including maintenance earlier owners logged, marked as owner-reported. What an owner spent, their journal, trackside log and clicker presets stay with them.
  • Service providers that run parts of MotoFluent for us, only to do that: hosting (Vercel), the database (Neon), file storage (Cloudflare), email (Resend), texts (Twilio), app notifications (Expo), error reports (Sentry) and our support email (Google).
  • Anyone the law requires us to tell, when it does.

How long we keep it

Service records are history: a machine's record stays useful to its owners and shops for its whole life, so we keep it, and corrections are kept alongside what they correct. Shops keep their business records, such as invoices, as the law requires. Ask us at support@motofluent.com to see what we keep about you, to correct it, or to close your account; we'll answer within 30 days and remove what we don't need to keep.

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections. Each shop sees only its own records and what owners share with it, and every change is logged.

Children

MotoFluent isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep their information.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to how your information is used, we'll tell you by email first.
